Founded by Jandré Stephen Erasmus, BeeLayer began with a simple idea:

As a technician with years of experience in telematics, electronics and problem-solving.
Jandré spent much of his life finding practical solutions to everyday challenges. When he discovered 3D printing, something shifted. The way a printer builds — slowly, precisely, one thin layer at a time — reminded him of something he had always loved: Bees.
Just like bees build strong and beautiful structures layer by layer, Jandré saw 3D printing as an opportunity to create products that were more than objects. They could be tools that heal, empower and connect people.
That is how BeeLayer was born.

For as long as he could remember, Jandré felt a deep connection to bees — not just for the honey they made, but for the way they lived. Bees build with purpose. They create beauty without ego. They protect what matters. And when a hive is damaged, they do not panic or scatter — they rebuild, layer by layer, until their home is whole again.
Years later, when Jandré watched a 3D printer move — slow, steady, and intentional — laying down one thin layer at a time, something clicked.
